Artist Bio

Joell Moss was born in New York City in 1983, and has been residing in Costa Rica since 2002. He currently runs a well known club in the capital of San Jose considered to be one of the country´s top venues for underground/alternative music.  Joell began his exploration of music at a very young age through the study of various instruments. As a drummer he played in handful of local New York bands styles ranging from Jazz to Indi Rock. In 1998 Joell became acquainted with electronic music while attending an “outlaw” gathering in New York. Soon after he began to experiment and mix IDM and Glitch sounds. It would be after years of living in Costa Rica that he would truly come in contact with Psychedelic Trance music. Intrigued by its complex atmospheres and powerful bass-lines, he begins mixing it around 2007 and in 2009 he starts to focus on a specific kind of progressive psychedelic trance characterized by its Intelligent grooves and minimal feel. Moss carefully designs each of his sets with the purpose of sending each listener on a voyage filled with unpredictable moments and multi-textured soundscapes. He is proud to represent Zenon Records in Central America and looks forward to promoting its unique sound.
